In Where Pattern Rests, I consider how the familiar can offer comfort while also setting limits. Drawing from textiles, quilts, and tile, I use repeated patterns and forms to reflect on home, place, and inherited expectations. Geometric order shifts across curved surfaces, while tile grids hold compositions within defined boundaries. Through these relationships, I give form to the tension between belonging and confinement, and the ways inherited structures can be carried, questioned, and changed.
